Coach Dan Smith is living his mission and purpose, to develop boys into men.
After a decorated fourteen year career in law enforcement at the local and federal level, Coach Dan left his career behind after discovering, through his own masculine journey, where his heart was and his mission and purpose here in this life. As a father to three boys, Coach Dan wants his sons to grow up in a world of men who don't behave as boys, but rather emulate Godly manhood: protecting, providing, and leading. Coach Dan achieved coaching certification and experience through the Apogee Strong Men's program, where he served as a men's coach and live event facilitator.
About Voyage Rites -
Coach Dan started Voyage Rites in 2024 to spark a movement of rites of passage, equipping fathers and mentors with faith-based tools to guide boys into biblical manhood.
Rites of passage for boys entering manhood used to be a common sense part of societies for thousands of years. It unfortunately has been sorely missing from Western culture and we have witnessed the impact it has had. Bringing powerful, well-researched, intentional rites of passage into our culture specifically for boys will significantly impact our future men, women, and nation.
