How do I know this is for me and my son?

We're looking for those fathers who are committed, who have what it takes to be intentional in their son's life, but may be struggling to get there. Come and receive the empowerment and knowledge you need to be the father your son needs to grow into a man.

How will the day be structured?

As with everything in life, you never know what will be thrown at you. Be prepared for a powerful day of forging bonds through hands on challenges, real conversations, and physical activity. Don't show up expecting light work, but we aren't out to break you either. Be prepared for you and your son to be pushed outside your comfort zone, where you can achieve growth. The day will be broken up between activities, group exercises, and workshops.

Why are there limits on ages?

There comes a time in a boy's life where he must move out from under his mother's wing, to under his father's guidance. Around the age of eight, a developmental shift occurs and your son is beginning to wonder, be curious, and to look more and more to you as his father for the answers. Those of a younger age have simply not reached that point yet. If you feel your son is mature enough for an event like this, let's have a conversation. On the other end, sixteen is an approximate age cap to bring in the boys who are still receptive and open to your guidance. If your son is older and is open to this event, let us know.

What if my son's father is not in the picture?

This is an unfortunate and very real reality of our world. Many boys, including some of the men leading this event, grew up without their father in their life. That is where the power of mentors is necessary to help a boy become a man. Seek out a mentor for your son, someone who is already playing a powerful role in his life, and they both are welcome at this event. If you are without a mentor for your son, contact us and we will pair him up with an incredible volunteer who have stepped up to serve in this capacity.

What are the physical demands of the day?

This event is structured to provide a balance of physical activity, powerful conversations, and intentional bonding with your son. Your physical fitness level does not preclude you from participation in this event. It will be helpful to have a solid base of physicality established but it is not necessary, and each activity and evolution can be accomplished based off your own personal level of fitness. Whether you have zero fitness experience or you are an elite athlete, you will receive value.
